Revolutionizing airport design, our project draws inspiration from human gestures and the intricate nature of public spaces. Featuring a life-size line drawing model showcasing individuals in captivating poses, strategically arranged in designated areas, it cultivates a shared atmosphere between depicted hosts and real visitors.
The dynamic system of lines and colors adapts to each space’s use, acting as a comprehensive navigation guide from entrance to boarding gate. Prioritizing clarity and user-friendliness, the emphasis is on signage that serves dual purposes - conveying essential information and providing versatile gathering spots. Tables, waiting areas, and creative zones offer flexibility for diverse environments and activities, ensuring a vibrant airport experience.
‘ภาพ - ประกอบ - เมือง’ (Illustration - From - City) is a special collaborative campaign between BKKIF and Department of Wonder (DOW) under a great support from UTA (U-Tapao International Aviation). Ten artists - BEYA, Buddhaandz, fahsuwaree, PAPENGPA, Uninspired by Current Events, PHAYANCHANA, Khemtit, nnene.iie, Tent Katchakul and BlueBlurryMonday, are selected from a list of this year’s BKKIF event to attend a workshop run by Practical School of Design (PS±D). The workshop aims to create a space for them to share their ideas of ‘Illustration - From - City’ as well as experimenting and turning those ideas into great illustrations in hope of contributing to better lives in the city.
